Introducing ExpertWind Copilot

By ExpertWind Team

ExpertWind Copilot introduces a new way to work with wind farm performance.

It brings expert-level logic, guidance and interpretation into the daily workflow so that wind farm owners, asset managers and performance teams can understand results faster, investigate issues more efficiently and move more confidently from evidence to action.

This matters because performance work does not stop when a KPI changes or a diagnostic highlights an issue. The harder part comes afterwards: understanding what the result means, what evidence supports it, what the likely causes are and what should be done to correct the issue and improve performance.

A performance assistant inside Insights

ExpertWind Copilot acts as a personal performance assistant inside ExpertWind Insights, helping turn results into understanding using trusted ExpertWind methodology, analytical logic and vetted knowledge.

Its role is to help users work through the questions that appear every day across wind farms and turbines. These questions are often simple to ask but time consuming to answer properly. How is this wind farm performing? Which issues deserve attention first? What does this diagnostic result actually mean? Where is the supporting evidence? What should be reviewed next?

Copilot has been designed to make that step faster and more direct. It helps bring monitoring, KPIs, performance results, diagnostics and expert guidance into a single workflow.

How Copilot supports wind performance

Within Insights, Copilot supports wind performance analysis in two complementary ways.

  • Questions, guidance and methodology in context. Operators, asset managers and performance engineers can ask questions directly inside Insights. Copilot can help identify the main issues affecting a wind farm, explain where to focus attention, clarify how a method works, point to the relevant evidence and answer broader questions linked to performance understanding.

  • Result summaries, interpretation and next steps. Copilot is also integrated into key result pages, where it summarises what matters, explains the issue context and helps interpret what the result means in practical terms, including what to review next and how the issue may affect performance and how it can be fixed.

This changes the experience from simply viewing results to actively working with them.

Why this matters in practice

A strong performance workflow depends on more than producing outputs. It depends on being able to interpret those outputs correctly and turn them into action.

In practice, Copilot helps teams to:

  • understand issues faster, with expert guidance always close at hand
  • interpret results more consistently, using the same logic and methodological framing across farms and turbines
  • navigate more efficiently, by knowing which results matter and where to find them
  • identify the next step more clearly, whether that means deeper investigation, operational correction or prioritisation of actions

This is valuable across routine monitoring, performance reviews and diagnostic investigations. It reduces friction at the point where many teams lose time: between detection, interpretation and improvement.

Grounded in trusted ExpertWind know-how

A defining aspect of ExpertWind Copilot is the quality of the information it uses.

Copilot is grounded in structured data, validated results, contextual thresholds, expert methodology and vetted ExpertWind knowledge. It is designed to work from reliable information that is already relevant to the operational context being analysed.

That distinction is essential. In wind farm performance, a useful explanation is not one that merely sounds plausible. It must be consistent with the data, aligned with the methodology and relevant to the issue being investigated.

Copilot explains what the data, results and logic support. It does not invent conclusions.

This is what makes Copilot reliable within a real performance workflow.

More direct access to performance intelligence

Monitoring, KPIs, performance analysis, diagnostics and tools remain central. Copilot adds something new: direct access to guidance, interpretation and context while performance work is taking place.

For wind farm owners, asset managers and performance teams, this means less time searching for explanations, more immediate access to ExpertWind guidance and a shorter path from evidence to action. Teams can now find answers in seconds, directly in context, instead of waiting for input from a human expert.
